{"id":36085,"date":"2025-02-21T12:00:28","date_gmt":"2025-02-21T11:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/schloss-schrattenthal.at\/?p=36085"},"modified":"2026-06-11T11:44:54","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T09:44:54","slug":"zeitkunstfestival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/schloss-schrattenthal.at\/en\/zeitkunstfestival\/","title":{"rendered":"Time Art Festival 2026 - \u201eALL THAT FREUD !\u201c"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Schrattenthal celebrates the return of its festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year, the historic Sch\u00fcttkasten at Schrattenthal Castle will once again become a stage for contemporary art: from the <strong>7 to 9 August 2026<\/strong> the ZEITKUNSTFESTIVAL takes place here - with art, music, literature, performance and discourse in Austria's smallest wine town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the <strong>Motto \u201eALL THAT FREUD!\u201c<\/strong> this year's festival, curated by Michael Kos, is dedicated to the Viennese founder of psychoanalysis: Sigmund Freud, whose world of thought continues to shape art and popular culture to this day. For three days, visitors can expect a packed programme - readings by Katharina Adler, Tom Saller and Steve Ayan, a staged reading of Sigmund and Martha Freud's famous \u201eBridal Letters\u201c with Sophie Aujesky and Mercedes Echerer, concerts ranging from jazz, klezmer and Brit pop to the \u201eJahrmarkt der Vernunft\u201c performance with puppetry and magic. In the Discourse Caf\u00e9, guests such as Monika Pessler, Director of the Sigmund Freud Museum Vienna, and cultural theorist Klaus Theweleit will talk about Freud, therapy and pop music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the festival weekend, the \u201eECHOKAMMER FREUD\u201c exhibition will continue at the Sch\u00fcttkasten until 30 August: ten renowned Austrian artists - including Julie Hayward, Gudrun Kampl, Franziska Maderthaner and Stefan Zsaitsits - will be showing works on two floors that echo central ideas of psychoanalysis.
